“Darren Levine has my unqualified support and gratitude for his contributions to Krav Maga.”
--
Imi Lichtenfeld, founder of Krav Maga

This was the book recommended to me by when I took my instructor training course in 2011, I now have over 80 books on training in my Krav Maga and self defence training library and I still feel that it's one of the best out there.

I haven't always been a Krav Maga instructor. For a long time I have had a desk job too. In my career I have known many bosses but very few leaders. I will leave a good job because of a bad boss, but I will stay in a difficult company to be with a good leader, and in this statement I am certain I am not alone.
“Remember the difference between a boss and a leader;
a boss says “Go!”- a leader says “Let’s go!

I have been leading teams online for years. My role as a Krav Maga teacher lead me to mentor newly qualified and aspiring instructors around the world using the internet as a platform. You may have many tasks to do, and with so many distractions in our surroundings, it’s tempting to fall into the trap of attempting to multitask. Just don’t.

Research on multitasking has made it clear: People are bad at it!

This is because “multitasking” is actually the wrong term. When you attempt to undertake multitasking in your work life, you aren’t actually doing multiple things at once. Instead what you are actually doing is rapidly switching your focus between several tasks things.

Start with Why - Book recommendation

1/4/2021

This is just a short recommendation, it's great for anyone feeling they need a little help and motivation to discover their purpose and calling. Simon Sinek delivered one of most popular TED Talks ever, it is titled “How Great Leaders Inspire Action”. The follow up book Start With Why is an awesome and highly enlightening read. It's got a very clear message about the power of knowing your purpose, and how to articulate a genuine passion that can inspire others to change the world.

When we challenge the status quo, we test our skills and we challenge ourselves and others towards improvement. I have worked in office where I have asked "Why is it done like that?" and too frequently the answer has been in the region of "That´s just the way we work", or even worse... "That's the way it's always been done".
These are the answers of people who do not understand the reason why. If you cannot articulate the understanding, then you don not know it well enough.
Krav Maga Online challenges the status quo!
