Eight might not sound like a large number to most: But what if someone said "You saved 8 lives". Since I began teaching in 2011, 8 students who trained under me in classes have called or emailed to express their thanks and tell me how my Krav Maga and self defence training has directly saved them from harm. The situations range from escaping attempted sexual assault, to surviving a knife attack (2 against 1), to defence of them-self and a loved one from a gang of 9 attackers in the city we are based in. The most recent was a letter I received in the post (accompanied with a gift) from a private student who trained with me for very specific concerns. There are also many occasions where my students have told me they feel safer and more confident because of what I teach and the realistic way I prepare them. I am immensely proud of Krav Maga Online and the Krav Maga Club of Stavanger and Sandnes, and I will continue to provide my students with high quality training.
This is Krav Maga
Welcome to the club. I started by teaching traditional in person classes and have expanded to include a huge online base too. I teach because I know that sometimes people can suddenly find themselves placed in bad situations... I know from experience how difficult those moments can be and how devastating the aftermath can be for months and even years after.
I started training in 2005, and became an instructor in 2010, working hard to earn skills that will help me to make better decisions and act if needed. I have also learnt how to effectively and efficiently transfer the knowledge and the skills on to other people like you. I teach hundreds of people, both students and instructors. In 2016 I challenged the status quo to begin teaching students through a virtual format.
My name is Benjamin, I am the leader of Krav Maga Online and The Krav Maga Club of Stavanger and Sandnes. I want to train you in skills that I hope you´ll never need. But if you do ever need them, I know without a doubt that you´ll be grateful you took Krav Maga classes with me.

It is the result of extensive research, including an analysis of over 140 active shooter/killer incidents, Krav Maga Extreme Survival provides an apolitical view of personal safety-concentrating on practical methods to survive violent situations. In his third book, Gershon Ben Keren explains how Krav Maga techniques can be used to survive some of the most relevant, extreme situations including carjackings, home invasions and attempted mass killings. The book also details predator profiling methods to aid in the prediction, prevention and avoidance of violence.

I teach because I genuinely care about my students and I have a desire to prove what works to help my followers and other instructors stand out.

I teach the complete syllabus for Krav Maga in Stavanger Norway. I have found that small group training is the most efficient learning environment and larger high energy classes are also necessary for fitness and immersion during pressure testing.
Some people are not comfortable with group training, or with having traditional one-to-one private tuition: Many people believe that Krav Maga skills could help them. It is a great self defence system, but sometimes joining a new group of people and training with someone you don't know can be scary. It can be really difficult to break through that barrier.
Other cannot always get to a self defence class: A fixed weekly training timetable doesn't suit the lifestyle for a lot of people. It may not seem fair that you have to pay for a full monthly tuition fee for classes that you can not frequently attend.
Perhaps you want to prepare for a difficult course: My instructor training started with 15 participants in phase one of the course... 18 days later I was 1 of 3 who passed. I know that these courses are tough. I am well aware of what it takes to get though the training, both the physical side and the mental side.
And there are skilled practitioners who want to become skilled instructors: Mentoring was something I was keen to start on, I didn't feel that there was specific and unbiased Krav Maga instructor mentoring. A lot of Krav Maga organisations mix mentoring with marketing, their emphasis wasn't on caring and nurturing practitioner growth but on feeding the signups. In 2015 I began to prepare students for the trails and challenges of running their own clubs, so that they could go on and care for people in their charge. It has been a very rewarding period.
I am here to help these people I am dedicated to this profession: My niche is small group and one-to-one online training. I do run a traditional club, it's based in Stavanger Norway where I have lived since 2006, and hundreds of people have walked through my doors and onto the mats over the years. Now I have been able to reach even more people though the internet with Krav Maga Online. I train and mentor experienced practitioners who wish to start their own club as well as complete beginners who want to cover the basics. Sometimes the goals are quick and easy, other times its months of practice... But it is fulfilling and worthwhile work and I enjoy what I do.
