Good morning to my superhero colleagues!
Let’s get you thinking…
This is my vision, and if you agree and can imagine this too then it is absolutely achievable.
It might involve a long journey and I don’t claim to know the exact route, but I have an idea of the direction. And I have this idea because this is the kind of environment I want to work in. One that is a genuinely caring, promoting a safe and loyal place to be.
We spend a lot of time here. Do you want to be around people with only the attitude “work to get paid and go home”? Because a good alternative is to encourage development with professional and personal growth in each other.
My goal is to inspire locally, desk-to-desk. In a community spirit of action, we have the responsibility for our immediate surroundings.
So the next step: How do we live in the vision above? How does it become our reality?
Good questions, I’m glad you asked!
My commitment here is to motivate, inspire, learn and educate. I’ll share with you, those in my charge and immediately around me, and you’ll take responsibility to pass on those around you.
The focus will be always be on small, smart changes that over time will yield results in a compounding effect. Consistency is key.
Attached above are the past Friday Thoughts emails for you to re-read. One was shared on Speakers’ Corner this week, and I encourage you to keep that particular one as your main focus for the following week and watch the change happening around you. Also please check out the Care Cabinet, and if you are not local to Stavanger I think it would be a good idea to create one where you are (info attached above in Office survival kit).
Remember: Small, smart changes.
The results will come and we can make Wood in Stavanger a company that has a waiting list for new employees 😊
